One of my best friends, Shannon, is glowing as she enters her 34th week of pregnancy with her first baby. Shannon gathered with 20 of her closest friends and family members yesterday to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Baby P! Shannon’s mom, best friend Katie and myself hosted the baby shower at Shan’s mom’s house, which is beautiful – looks like it is right out of a magazine. It was the perfect back drop for an afternoon with ladies. The food was great, weather was perfect, sangria was flowing and the guest of honour looked gorgeous in her turquoise floor length maternity dress.
She received so many beautiful gifts along with many useful things for baby. I think she has almost everything she now needs to fill the nursery.
The only question now is boy or girl…

Shan, your nights will be shorter, your days will be happier, your house will be messier (although I’m not so sure about your house), and your love will grow stronger. I know you’re going to be an amazing mom because you’re an amazing friend and woman. You’re thoughtful, caring, compassionate and a good listener – all things that make a good mom. I wish you and Luke a lifetime of happiness and laughter with this little peanut.
